There was a Porsche when I was growing up, which had the registration TUR130, with the 1 and 3 close together, the owner kept getting pulled and fined for them not having the standard Kerning, but he just paid the fines...

There was an eye surgeon in Leeds who was one of the highest "ranking" (that's not the word but you know what I mean) in the country. He had a Bentley with "4 EYE".

Both my brother in law and his wife have matching number plates which (if you mentally substitute numbers for letters) spell their surname. Probably cost the a fortune, but they seem to be quite happy at being extrovertly well off.

I used to see a guy (same guy) driving landrover defenders with private plates.
One was R8 PAL and the other was TO0 5MUG
