 On a more serious note, I wouldn't be surprised if we started seeing First Direct branding kicking in. |

There had been talk of bringing back the Midland Bank name, but I suspect First Direct is more likely. |

First Direct better matches the way things are going in the retail banking sector. People want ' a high street bank' but they don't necessarily want a bank on the high street. |

Itr's more likely to be Midland rather than FD. FD was always marketed as a bank with no branches. |
