I was thinking about this today.
Why is she being sued for this, and a person deciding to say they are the opposite gender gets applaud? Aren't they both kidding themselves?
Why is anyone objecting to her saying she's black? Maybe she was just "born in the wrong body"

Quite so. If we can say someone's gender is more about what they identify themselves as rather than what they were born as, then shouldn't the same apply to race?
It does make the whole Ali G 'Is it 'cos I is black?' thing a whole different ball game though...
