What an idiot.
Isn't the whole point of insurance to spread the risk of things like that anyway.
I'm so glad we've still got the NHS (for now anyway).

Yes but the point of insurance companies is to make money for shareholders. To do that they have to avoid paying out on premiums if at all possible. It's actually against their interests to support their customers.
