Getting the BBC to be the architect of it's own demise. You know, like the NHS, water provision, transport... Until 'competition' can be painted as it's saviour. You can't miss it, it'll be coloured blue :x

Like I said before, this little cnut's playing a blinder.

the licence fee for the BBC is outdated. the BBC needs to move to the 21st century.
in the beginning the licence fee was put in place to build, create, establish, operate and fund a British national repeat British national TV/Radio service.
the world has moved on from that ...

Yeah, but the alternative sucks balls. Ads, subscriptions, and next to nobody asking awkward questions of politicians.

What I stated pretty much is the 21st century where tv is concerned.

BBC to ask over-75s to pay licence fee voluntarily to offset 10% budget cut | Media | The Guardian

One of the best, most successful organisations that ever existed reduced to asking pensioners for charity payments.

S'what happens when their biggest competitor makes massive donations to the party that attains power in the UK. Remember that when they tell you how terrible it is that Greece is so corrupt.
