Getting the BBC to be the architect of it's own demise. You know, like the NHS, water provision, transport... Until 'competition' can be painted as it's saviour. You can't miss it, it'll be coloured blue :x

the licence fee for the BBC is outdated. the BBC needs to move to the 21st century.
in the beginning the licence fee was put in place to build, create, establish, operate and fund a British national repeat British national TV/Radio service.
the world has moved on from that ...

Yeah, but the alternative sucks balls. Ads, subscriptions, and next to nobody asking awkward questions of politicians.
