I'd support the entire lot being fired immediately, frankly. Why bother with an inquiry that'll be run by the mates of the blokes whose necks are on the block? Jon |

The problem as far as I can see it is that operations (such as the guys over in wherever they are now) are getting more funding because they are in the public lime light and the government can't be seen to cut finding there, support to operations are being starved of money and resources and so people are getting shuffled around into unfamiliar posts, people are being made redundant because the money isn't there to keep them on, and this had gotten worse since the government bailed out the banks. It's no wonder things take time and money when you think if my department wants to have a one hour meeting between all the member of it, everyone needs to take the day off doing normal work, make their way up to Scotland to HQ, have their meeting, then come back down. Why is this? Because upper management won't release money for us to buy conference equipment...If we get new software or an upgrade of old software we want installed into the system it has to go through something like a 6 month compatibility test and costs around £25,000... People keep saying that the Armed Forces aren't funded enough, but part of the problem is that their support isn't funded enough either. |

I know what you mean, but it would probably take an inquiry just for the whole issue to go truly anywhere I'm thinking. |
