Yank-centric obviously, but some of it makes a lot of sense. I don't buy that people enjoy ads overall though, not unless people really are that dumb :(

No phones, tablets or notebooks allowed in front of the TV. If you want to use them, you have to leave the room.

On the other hand, if I don't change channels within about 2 seconds of the ads starting, there is a chorus of "aaadvert!" Or rather the German equivalent, "Weeerbung!"

virtually all TV we watch is from the PVR - adverts are much better at 32 speed :D

We don't have a PVR. My old VHS recorder packed in around '96, I haven't recorded anything since then.
