AVG privacy policy update allows it to sell your browsing history

I haven't used AVG for years. Does the free version carry ads? In any case, I can't see this being a terribly popular move. Could be some furious back peddling going on shortly.

Didn't use ads when I last used it in April - installed Avast which does use ads but seems a better prog. Anything that wants an email address, permissions etc can generally fcuk off.

I used to use AVG until it became bloatware IIRC around v6. Completely hogged the system resources. Replaced it with avast and never look back. This kind of thing would make me walk away from any antivirus software.
