I find it slightly worrying he's Chancellor of the Exchequer and he doesn't seem to want to account for the possibility that China's economy might just be about to fold like a wet paper bag, mainly because they've been lying to everyone about the state of it for about a decade and have made most of the same mistakes the west made before 2008.

What we should be doing is insulating ourselves from any possible fallout from that. I suspect in George's mind 'bond with' equates to 'sell whatever isn't nailed down to', which is absolutely the last thing we should be doing..

I'd guess this is part of George's wider plan of influencing the AIIB - he's nothing if not ambitious. And yeah, he'd totally sell us out to a new master with it.
