I meant across consumerism, but I actually did look into energy usage when it came down to two very similar TVs. It's one of the things that crops up in a lot of reviews too, I even remember TGS doing a 'what's putting your bill up' bit.

I think we'll find the it is an accepted yet unspoken practise amongst the manufacturers of any number of products, be it TVs, Cars, Microwaves or Leaf Blowers, to fiddle the official ratings for their products. GM, Merc and Ford aren't wagging their fingers and tutting, they're [LIFTED] themselves.
