Italy has been doing this for years. In many towns there are odd and even days and only cars with an odd or an even numbered registration are allowed on the roads on those days. |

and all that means is that if I have to drive I have two cars -and as I now need to run two cars I cannot afford a newer (cleaner car) so run two old bangers than kick out a tonne of fumes |
