Doesn't sound like a whole lot of fun on there. I'm surprised they've not banned photography.

I'm getting increasingly dismayed about this bridge project. I think the core idea behind it is absolutely wonderful, and I'm quite a fan of a lot of Thomas Hetherwick's other stuff.

I expect they’ll use the “it’s a privately owned space” bit to ensure that they claim copyright on your photos, or restrict their use so much that it’ll be impossible to share.

the scheme hoped to “maximise the opportunity provided by the status of the bridge as private land”

Given its status as private land they can ban photography very easily. Had it been public land - party due to the £40m of public money used to build the thing - that would have been different.

They can say - no photography but as just about everyone who uses it will have a Camera (in their phone) unless they have 1:1 security guards to people crossing its a moot point

This won't stop them from harrassing people that take their phones out and start snapping.
There's enough of a problem photographing private property from public property as it is.
Though I suspect there's be clauses such as 'no commercial photography without prior permission', so casual pics will be okay, but if you wanna make money from the images, they'll hit you so hard you'll be back in last week.
