http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-34764730 Commentators are saying that he’s made up his mind - he wants to remain in the EU, but he has to play this game to keep the Eurosceptics in his party happy. I’m not sure he has the clout to negotiate anything of any worth in any area. If we’re going to have to do this dance, I’d at least like to see someone who has some negotiating skills and international gravitas doing the job. I’m not sure we have anyone available that fits that bill at the moment. EDIT: Meanwhile, crappy letter spacing alert. ![]() |

I'm not sure Cameron is deadly serious about anything. |

Probably serious about joining exclusive dining clubs, though. |

Every time I hear about the UK wanting to pull out, it seems to be after another round of EU laws that protect citizens and put extra onus on the government to protect them and not abuse them or to protect citizens against big business... ![]() |

quite so. The fact the Tories came up with this plan shortly after the EU suggested implementing wide restrictions on financial transactions that would have hit The City in the pocket is entirely a coincidence. |

Hardly surprising. Governments (of both political persuasions) have actively encouraged the growth of the City so that the British economy is heavily dependant on it. In any case, it's not like the mercenary goits won't just decamp somewhere else with a more favourable (by which I mean lax) tax regime if their bottom line is properly threatened. |

The EU definitely need reforming but if the Tories lead the discussion it will not be in the average Brits interest. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
