I read a stat today which says everything about the fundamental relation between the two men. Cameron has been to India three times in the period Modi has been in power. In that same period, Modi has visited 27 other countries before bothering to come to Britain.

Plus money, lots and lots of of money. They want Indian investors to put money into projects rather than using government funding to do them. Also, one of the things that raised my eyebrows was we're about to issue the first ever UK government bonds that are denominated in rupees, not in sterling.
