I thought that was already the case in parts of Asia. Meanwhile in mainland Europe they still prescribe AB for Tickly throats and feed it to all farmed animals. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Is it true that in France you can go to the doc and say your legs are feeing a bit heavy, and they will send you away with antibiotics for that? |

Not over here. The doctors prefer not to give out AB if they can help it. Usually the say that ABs are not the answer and I should take cough medicine, paracetamol etc. Which is when I tell them, that yes, I realise AB isn't the answer and I'm only their for a sick note. (I have to provide my employer with a sick note from the first day of illness - they have to receive it at latest with the post on the second day.) There was a news report a few weeks ago that gonorrhea is on the increase amongst young people, they put it down to the reduction in people using condoms, because the risk of AIDS is falling and not so prevalent in the minds of young people. |
