I'm hopeful I won't be in a church again for at least a decade... and that'll be a funeral.

Your own?
I actually do not recall the last time I went in to a church.
It was probably to take photographs.

Why would it be mine? I'm more likely to have done the murdering

If nothing else, I'm getting burnt without any reference to our alleged god... Though if I'm wrong about him, I will be asking questions such as

'What's with all the paedos?'

and

'What is it with you and popular entertainers?'

Hmm, might have to get a legal document drawn up to try and prevent any enforced god nonsense when I'm gone...

I visited a church last year - the election polling booths were in there.

I'm guessing not all churches are listed? And not all of them are of architectural significance. You already pay to visit the interesting ones ( York Minster, Bath Abbey etc) . I would not pay to visit a random church with no interesting features.

I shambled around Lincoln Cathedral last year. Cost me £8 for the privilege. I think that if they want government funding for upkeep, that entrance fees should be dropped or reduced.

Same here, but I go not because I have any religious convictions, but because the people concerned have (or want to appear to have).

Generally the same here too.
I did go to church recently though because I gave my Mum a lift (she goes to church) and I went in as it was better than sitting the car in the pouring rain for an hour.
