Amazon China head made non exec director for DWP

1) Why the blistering suns does a government department need a non-exec director? Isn't the direction supposed to come from the minister and from MPs?
2) Appointing the head of Amazon china to oversee 'work & pensions' genuinely is like a case of giving the lunatic charge over the asylum
3) The fact he's got no actual qualifications to do the job but is a close personal friend of David Cameron is of course utterly irrelevant.

Bunch of corrupt ****ers.

The Tories are very quickly past caring about how it looks or what questions will be asked. This is the corrupt culture their leaders were born into and this is how they see the world. They also know there's a massive bout of infighting coming I'd guess...

I recommend my learned friend take a good dose of Yes Minister, followed up by a good dose of Yes Priminister.

Given that they are constantly in trouble over their employment practices, precisesly.

Isn't that following the great British tradition?

I refer my learned friend to my answer to his first question above.
