Honestly surprised and shocked that this happened. I'm already aware that if a GP surgery calls for a 999 emergency ambulance, it can get downgraded as the patient is in a place of safety. I wasn't aware that something similar happened if a patient called via 111. Eleven people died as a result of this decision and the person who allowed this to happen should be charged with manslaughter.

As should the corporation in question. Even if it's one person's idea, the board bear collective responsibility for the actions of employees.
