Trump Fans Just Created Their Own “Brownshirts” To “Protect” Rallies From Protesters
The sad and twisted tale of Donald Trump’s rise has taken an even darker turn. After Trump supporters provoked a conflict with Sanders protesters and got a rally shut down in Chicago, his rabid followers took to Twitter to begin organizing a “militia” – the Lion’s Guard – to defend Trump supporters and rallies against “leftist agitators.” Calling themselves the “red caps” (in reference to Trump’s iconic Make America Hate Great Again red hats), the parallels to Adolf Hitler’s Stormtroopers (Sturmabteilung or SA or “Brownshirts”), which was created to protect Nazi rallies from protesters, are too many to ignore.

Now, I’m not sure how hyperbolic this article is - it’s clearly a Democrat sided site, but this sounds fairly like they’ve got something to be concerned about.

Apparently, the Twitter account has been closed, but that’s probably not going to stop this continuing in the shadows.

I can't imagine him losing sleep over that.

I'd imagine most of Trump's supporters barely manage crayons, let alone the internet.

I'm half expecting the Republican supporters to wake up and smell the psychosis, at which point they'll nominate Ted Cruz, because he looks like a bleeding-heart liberal by comparison; although in truth he and Trump carry the same views, but Cruz is smart enough to cover his with a veneer of decency.

I do think the GOP will eventually round on Trump and he'll go independent, handing the election to Clinton.

Trump - he’s the decoy plan you present to management - they’ll never go for it, but the alternative - the Plan B (but your Plan A) seems so much more palatable by comparison.

I think that was their initial plan, but the monster is now beyond their control. They promoted populist movements and candidates over the last few years and then Trump takes populism to a new level.

N24 just reported that Cruz has stepped down? (TV on silent in the canteen at work)

Edit: No, it is Rubio who has pulled out.

That was months ago (in January I believe).

Part of me does still want to see him get elected, just for the sheer lunacy of it.

Well, it'd be interesting to see (from a safe distance) how he'd deal with North Korea or Putin/Russia. I expect there would be some quite spectacular fallout (literally).
Unfortunately I don't think there would be a safe distance. Not unless you have areal hankering to live in something resembling the Fallout universe.

Do not mention The Event.
