Essex Police said they were called at 01:30 BST to reports a man was being assaulted at the home in Pines Road.

Well, this is pretty close to where I live. Pines Road is my route into town, so we passed that scene this morning. Police cars, white tent, tape around the area.

There's been an arrest, and a man is appearing in the magistrates court today. There's still a police presence in Pines Road.
