I honestly don't know what to think about that, mu gut reaction is it feels like a step too far (I didn't even know it was a thing).

I don't watch European drama because I've absolutely no need to between national and American programmes. And since I've already chosen Netflix and the like in a competitive market, I don't like that they should be made to spend money that could go towards shows the vast majority of Europeans actually want!

Amazon Prime has plenty of local and European content, although I wouldn't want to put a percentage on it.

That said, there are some great Nordic series and films out there. The Wallander series is very good (not the Kenneth Brannagh version).
