I'd make a big show of having Twitter go through the feed and/or publishing their response.

The thing that occurs to me when some public figure announces they're leaving twitter is - do they think that is a loss to anyone else? Twitter is a noise machine, it's content level is vanishingly low. If you actually think you're making meaningful connection to you constituents/fans/whatever using it, you're deluding yourself in a major way.

Suppose it's about appearing human, which is something she's at least good at if it's not fact lol.
