Sir Cliff Richard sex abuse inquiry: No charges for singer
Singer Sir Cliff Richard will face no further action over allegations of historical sex abuse, prosecutors say.

The Crown Prosecution Service said it had decided there was "insufficient evidence to prosecute".

"We need a reliable source of distracting headlines, so that anything we do after the EU referendum can be buried in small print on page 15", said a government spokesman earlier today. "We had hoped that Sir Cliff could have provided enough media attention to defect attention away from the various difficult decisions that we’ll have to make in the months and years to come.”, he added.
