Apparently the police have announced that they are investigating Evans on the basis of a claim of a sexual assault in the 90s.

That went well then.

I saw the 'new' Top Gear for the first time the other day.
Evans was terrible at it. Matt Le Blanc was okay, but they just didn't gel like Clarkson, Hammond and May.

Do you remember the first couple of seasons of the Clarkson, Hammond and May Top Gear?

That chemistry doesn't arrive overnight - it takes years to cultivate.

I thought Evans, and the new series as a whole, got better as it went along. I'm surprised he didn't give a second series a go before throwing the towel in.

I watched a bit of the final one, where they did a review of the new NSX. It was a fairly well filmed segment but I thought it was very.. uncritical. CMH Top Gear would have said "It's a nice car, but it costs as much as a DB11 which is a much nicer car, or for half the money you can get a GT-R which is also a nicer car, so what's the point of it?" They didn't seem to even consider that kind of question. I wonder if the new (editorial, not presenting) team didn't feel confident enough in the show's long term popularity to feel they could upset one of the car manufacturers.

Nigel's a bit racist and in need of a new job, maybe he could have a go.

Given recent history, I think Nigel will be avoiding anything where he might be photographed standing in front of a vehicle.

Plane crash. Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing.

And the wheels falling off his Volvo last year...
