News CLICKY
This bit gets me...
Quote:
Police in Florida have used the incident as an opportunity to issue guidelines for teenagers and parents on safely playing the game.

How about issuing guide lines on not being a trigger happy moron and not shooting first and asking questions later?

True. Although I have been wondering if, now the morons are shooting the police and not just each other, whether that'll have any effect on the gun debate in the US. If the heavily armed, in theory reasonably trained police force can't do anything against a nutball with a gun, the whole 'having a gun protects you from nasty people with guns' argument surely can't be sustained.

Never underestimate the power of self delusion. I suspect the police and the nutters will simply step up their arms race.

The police seem to be using robot bombs now. It will be interesting to see how far the Second Amendment allows this to go.

I’ve given up with the handwringing and arm flailing about the gun problem in the USA. Nothing we can do will change a thing, especially as the President is hobbled by his own government. It’s a social experiment now as far as I am concerned.
