Perverting the course of justice is rarely punished to the full extent, so I doubt News Corp's involvement will result in anything other than OOC settlements and a paltry fine.

It's incredibly convoluted. He has a lot of links to the police and the resulting convictions from his fake investigations. That might mean the story gets buried, but even the Met are struggling to hide the past now. There's certainly no hiding his victims... It'll likely be a protracted story as a result, and so far NI/NC haven't stood by anyone bar Brooks. He might start to talk...

They don't stand by you out of loyalty, they stand by you if you have enough dirt on them to cause a sh!t storm.
