Well stuff recently hasn't been about Trump directly. It's about how the bloke he appointed National Security Advisor had been making long unspecified phone calls to the Russian embassy

Apparently he started another tweetstorm accusing the FBI and others of leaking info, blaming Hilary, and saying mainstream news and media outlets were failing or fake news, and subtly suggesting people watch Fox News.

He seemed to have some kind of meltdown at a press conference last night, if Twitter was anything to go by.

Here’s a White House Aide telling the BBC that it indulges in Fake news:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-39000118

Trump says that the media is broken:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-38997075

Trump not a BBC fan either:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-38999996

And when he was challenged about a fake election boast:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-38996290
In which he claims he was “given the information”. So you tell him something, and he’ll just regurgitate it without checking or asking for more information?

The problem we have is this: the intellectual approach to Ancient Aliens has spread to politics. Put enough hyperbole, hyperventilating narrative, and flashing images, and it seems that people will believe anything. This is why AA’s regulars include a radio talk show host and some self-published “experts”, but is very thin on the ground of real academia because mainstream academics don’t seem to “get it (i.e. whatever [LIFTED] nonsense that particular episode is blathering on about).

That’s just the same bloody nonsense we’re getting in politics now. People making it up as they go a long, a whole load of excitable but unsubstantiated claims, and enough gullible people to carry it on. Oh, yes, the whole role of experts is somewhat sidelined.

So here we are - we have a political system modelled after Giorgio Tsoukalos’ TV programme. Hooray.

Trump wants to speed up Moon landings. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/spe ... 7949470bfd

Skipping/skimping on the safety tests that NASA wants to do.

Course he does. If it all works out he grabs as much of the glory as possible, if it doesn't he blames NASA and cuts their funding. I'm pretty certain if it was up to him they'd be on their way tomorrow.

And now he has tweeted that he won't be going to the traditional White House Correspondents' Dinner.
