Er, evidence of who did it? She could always try a private prosecution, or a civil case for damages.

About six months ago, for the first time ever, I saw a patient with one half of their skull removed. It looked far worse that that in the link (which is only the front portion). This patient had the entire left side of the skull removed (and embedded in their abdomen to ensure a rich blood supply) so it looked like someone had dropped a square weight onto his head and missed half of it.
