I don't think it'll happen.
I remember reading a suggestion once, I think it was on the BBC website.
Anyway, get all three on camera but instead of a debate just rig them up to lie detecters and have a big vat of gunk above them.
The public then phone in with questions (and hell, I'd ring an 0901 and pay £1 for the pleasure) to ask. If the politicians lie, they get gunked!

They had this on Mock The Week. I like Russell's idea of having a small child kick them in the nuts when they lie.

We can call it "Britain's got the Brown factor". Oh, hang on. We're already there aren't we?

It has to be hosted by Graham Norton, feature the Lottery draw and have some kind of mawkish video where they tell you how much it means to them to win.

Ok, in theory if it went ahead how could they justify having it on Sky anyways? It would have to be on the BBC otherwise it wouldn't be democratic.

I think you'll need more than one child. I'm with Hugh Dennis's comments on the same show actually. The only reason this is being suggested is because they already have them in America. In America, they elect a president. In the UK, we elect a party. I see no advantage to us as an electorate of some vaudeville-esque sideshow. And Sky aren't suggesting it because it's good for democracy or has some civic value, they're suggesting it so they can massively advertise it and hope to gain some more subscribers due to it. I know quite a few MPs have their tongue firmly lodged in Murdoch's rear passage but I'd at least prefer if they weren't so sodding obvious about it. Jon

That anybody at all can't see this, amazes me. Politics in this country, is [LIFTED]. Sky news are the last people capable of fixing it.

Well, think of it this way, it'll save them all a trip.
I mean they have to go round all the media moguls and ask them if it's ok and would they please allow them to run the country. It would be funny if it wasn't true.

Well if it's on Sky News, that's a Freeview channel and everyone should be able to see it. However, I don't agree that Sky should be in a position to make a commercial profit out of it.

Te only TV debate Brown will have is whether 1080p is worth paying for on a 32" screen.
