I think that this is good. You could have decent home wired networks. I guess that Apple would benefit as well, if they could produce a MacBook Air with a single Light Peak port which would be as functional as any MacBook Pro with such a connection.

You only need one. From Wiki: No idea how the plugs work, but I guess maybe you'd use a hub. I would prefer two as well, but for something like the MacBook Air which only has one port anyway it would be very useful.
