I had no idea Afghanistan was becoming such a big issue in Germany :o

It isn't that big a problem, but the troops have targets of more attacks recently, even though they have never been combat troops, just support and logistics for getting the country back on its feet - but they are a target, because the Luftwaffe have been providing tactical support to other nations.

Since the thwarted train bombers a few years back, it has been very quiet here.

I wasn't sure if they were there for support etc but I assumed they would be, that's why I couldn't really understand the fuss, cheers :)
