Jut in case you missed it, there is a need to retune your Freeview box on 30th September.

http://www.radiotimes.com/blogs/744-doc ... une-alert/

First I heard of it was last night when someone mentioned it. Then Sarah Kennedy ballsed it up totally and said all Freeview boxes would have to be “returned”.

Virgin Media screamed like merry hell when their +1 service was coming up and the Freeview boxes needed retuning. They have been very quiet about it this time.

The digital switchover was completely [LIFTED] up in Cornwall, hopefully this will fix the errors.

I found that I had to retune regularly as channels were added anyway.

Sooner they turn off all the analog the better, the digital power can then be boosted and we'll get a better signal.

It's been hard to miss as a message comes up on every channel.

Satellite and cable dont have to do anything. When you retune you have to do a proper retune not just an 'add channels' - as is an option on my Bt Vision for example.

This page has an alarming last paragraph.

+1. My set-top box comes up with the warning every time I turn it on. Completely p***es me off.

Mine hasn't said anything. However, it's not been switched on for two weeks. I hope it still works next time I want to watch TV :?

I have to rescan sometimes because the channels don't match when they move stuff around, which they've done a few times in the last 5 years or so. Is this any different? Should I be worried? I don't want to replace my digibox because it matches the DVD player

They are shuffling channels so that everyone can get Five.

At home so did a retune. Lost a majority of my channels. :o

Thankfully a second retune got them all back. :D

Yay, create & craft is still there..... Give me strength.... Is there any way of deleting channels?

+1, I wouldn't have to flick channels like an idiot or pull up an entire menu then

Typical blokes. Tried reading the manual?

Most set-top boxes and tellies offer the chance to make sets of your favourite channels. That way you can lose all the Bid-Up TV, Telly Tots, Totty Telly and Channel Five and just keep the sensible ones like BBC4, More4 and Dave.
