My apologies for appearing to be 'Dave's' PR guy, but he is making a lot of waves/news - blame Gordon! ;)

Based on that, I have to say he's talking sense. There's no way this country will be able to afford tax cuts for decades.

If debt is their priority, then I expect to be in it up to my neck if they come in to power. I also feel that the “change” they say we’ll be getting is all the money we’ll have after they have driven the unemployment figures up.

I've said it before and I'll say it again:

I won't vote Labour, I'll never vote Conservative and everybody else is a wasted vote. Who do I vote for?

The reason "everyone else is a wasted vote" is because too many people think like that.

Can I remind people, Labour are currently in third place in many polls. The only truly wasted vote is a vote for labour.

Unfortunately, I'm in a safe Tory seat. Damn our inproportional unrepresentative elections

Yes the Tory solution to everything is cuts, then they will rush through tax cuts for the rich. These never worked before, so why will they work now. The Tories will have higher unemployment than the other parties. Though longer term that does not help the restoration of full employment in future.

If you do not want to make a vote for one party or another vote tactically. I will be.

Based on this week it sounds like he's out to screw the middle classes rather than the poor. I'm middle class, I don't like it, but I agree it is necessary.
The biggest thing that needs doing though is bringing an end to gold plated public pensions. Do you have any idea how much council tax is required for pensions alone?

The real problem is that there will be pain for all except I suspect that the pain will be felt far more amongst the very rich. The Tories are already defending their inheritance tax cut before they are in power.

About £185 per household per year for the next twenty years. Longer if they do not fix it.

As I've said before, the pensions are the only perk of the job. Either you pay competitive salaries or you give better pensions. Which is it to be?

Actually many of the higher jobs are very well paid in councils or government so that does not count. They have been ramping up their pay over the years even if those at the bottom have not. I am much more supportive of the lower paid but not of those higher up the scale.
