There are not many things that cannot be cut without making a significant difference to the effectiveness of our forces. The new carriers are probably more useful than the nuclear subs. |

They could pull the troops out of Afghanistan. That would save almost enough to halve the national debt, I'm sure. |

Not getting involved in other peoples affair overseas and becoming a properly defensive force would then make sue we can, oh I don't know, make provisions for the booming elderly population? |
