Health bosses in Suffolk have been trying to find a way to transport a "super-obese" man to another county for life-saving treatment.

I'm kinda getting annoyed with everything having a 'super' in front of it these days - those 'super injunctions' being the most recent example - it's just laziness and dumbing down IMO...

In 2002 when he needed hospital treatment Mr Mason had to be taken from his home by forklift through a window which had been removed.

Given that this chap was 50 Stone back in 2006, and was unable to move then, who the [LIFTED] has kept on feeding him to that degree in the last 3 years?

subtle as ever
But since hes gained so much IMHO he should be charged for the additional cost to get him to his treatment.

Subtle, the man almost weighs half a ton. I've driven sports cars lighter than him.

I hope it's private treatment, although he's probably claiming incapacity benifits so we'll end up paying the bill.

You know when you start eating and gaining a bit of weight, and you look in the mirror and think "god I'm putting on weight, I'd better not slob out as much".

And then you continue on eating and you get to the point where you can no longer see your feet and you think "holy sh!t, I'm really fat! I've got to do something about this!".

And then you carry on eating and get to the point where you don't fit into the chair you used to sit on and you think "F*ck me, I'm seriously obese now, I need to see a doctor".

And then you carry on eating and sitting in front of the TV until you realise that you can't stand up any more and you think "B*ll*cks, what am I doing? I need to see a doctor or I'm going to die from being so obese!"

And then you carry on eating up to the point where you need to get forklifted out of your chair through a window because you can't move or fit through the door and you go to hospital and someone says "You will die if you carry on like this!".

So you go home and you carry on eating and sitting and not doing anything else.

Well, WTF happened when this guy went past all of those points in his life!?

Just leave him there. He brought it on himself so let him fix it. If he doesn't then there's one less sponge on society to worry about.

Not necessarily. He could be a programmer who works from home. Has online food shopping well organised and the pizza people have keys to let themselves in to place it next to him.

As to moving him? Ever thought of a flatbed truck and a sheet over him?

Leave the sheet off and use him in anti obesity ads

He might be a programmer who works from home.... it's still no excuse for having that little self control

Too true. If my belt gets tight then I stop eating. Simple. Also helps if you do not buy a bigger belt!

The bloke has gained an additional 20 stone in just 3 years? That's like a whole extra skinny person every year!

Although, it's only about 4oz a day. I wonder how efficient the body is at turning food into fat?

I wonder what his chat up line would be. "So how much do you weigh?" "Eight stone", "Oh I gained that in weight last year" ;) ;)
