I went Aperture, because at the time it seemed a better bet - and wasn't made by Adobe, who are rapidly becoming the Microsoft of the creative world. Lightroom will always fly ahead, because it runs on older hardware and is cross platform. It's also good to see Apple getting some decent competition. I wonder what Aperture 3 will have in it? Actually, I wonder if there will be an Aperture 3! ![]() |

Mmmm. I use Lightroom to catalogue my pics but have been dabbling in Bridge for better continuity. I really should just pick one and stick with it (I use Adobe Camera Raw to convert my RAW pics before post processing). From the horses mouth CLICKY Al |

How did I miss this??? I may need to get myself a copy soon-ish. Any nitty-gritty feature lists about? *goes off hunting* I hope the API now covers import, so I can write a proper geo-tagging plugin. Unless of course it's native... |

More akin to Apple's rip off pricing strategy in the UK than Microsoft. Plus, don't see a Microsoft charging £200 for a £45 hard disk either. I went to Dabs to get a hard drive and ram for my Mac, but i'm sure there are lots of people who are stupid enough to pay for the stuff on the Apple site. Unfortunately that choice doesn't exist with Adobe, as there isn't much alternative sometimes. Apperture is better than Lightroom though if you ask me, or Bibble. |

I find Lr so much easier to get to grips with than Aperture. Mark |

I have both. I prefer Apperture's RAW conversion and tools and find LR unnecessarily complicated. Also I like Ap's organisational tools. In fact I would go as far to say as I despise Lightroom. If you have a PC, Bibble is good too. |

I hope Apple doesn't ditch Aperture, simply to keep Adobe on it's toes regarding Lr features and usability. Mark |
