As far as I'm concerned, MPs should have a hostel/halls-of-residence type of accommodation where they all must stay. Everything's exactly the same in each flat. Things like electricity etc should be metered so their use is monitored. Anything above a certain quote of electricity must be paid for by the MP (stops them wasting electricity/water/gas needlessly). In this way, they can't 'claim' for anything since all their needs are met and they can pay for their own food like we all have to.

I totally agree.
Would however make a very good terrorist target though. Question is, aside from friends and family, would anyone be that bothered if it was taken out?
