Watching BBC HD on a freeview box via Windows Media Centre seems to be generating some issues with ATI cards.
Just as well I've just got that 8800GTS from Fogmeister

Sadly its all true. Since BBC changed its encoding for HD, ATI cards no-longer work, whereas NVIDIA ones do. This is very annoying as in all other respects AMD\ATI kit offers a superior price\performance ratio! |

Buy cheap, pay twice! I'm not really surprised. They may get a fast card out from time to time, but the drivers often leave a lot to be desired and they cut corners in places where they probably shouldn't. |
