I don't see any problem with that, people choose to remember the dead in their own way. It'll be a permanent way of being close to their son, it's nice to see parents caring that much about a child tbh!! |

What's your take, Jon? |

It's a bit random, but I guess as long as the son didn't mind. I've always fancied having my useful bits removed as a donor, and the rest of me chopped up for shark bait. I like the idea of swimming the ocean being slowly digested by a great white shark ![]() |

Why not? Well, actually, to be honest they're probably not his son's ashes, who knows what's actually returned. Mind you it's the symbolic gesture that's the point, a point which he obviously finds comforting. |

It's one of those things that I tend to react to in multiple ways. There's a rather conservative part of me that thinks "how stupid, weird" etc. Then the rational part of me comes along to give the conservative part a damn good kicking for being so stupidly narrow minded. It's fair to say my heads a bit of a screwy place at times ![]() |

It was what I thought, but it's a similar idea to the ashes being used in paintings or to make diamonds. I think it's a nice gesture As I was told by a close friend, grieve in a way that makes you happy. Sounds stupid but it works |

Aye, that was the approach I took a few weeks ago. Grief is personal, there is never any 'wrong' way to grieve. |
