http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8335377.stm Heseltine talks a lot of sense there IMO, it'll be interesting to see the level of swing voting going on... |

I'm putting my money on Tory landslide TBH. A Hung Parliament is about the worst thing you can wish for given the current state of the economy. |

+1 to all that, and I think it's been long (and sh1t) enough for the general public to consider the Tories again... |

Well a hung parliament ( depending how you read it ) could be a damn good idea. ![]() But yes in reality it would be a nightmare in the current state of the country. |

Please. Anything but that. I lived through the last lot, and I don't want to repeat it. I'd like to see people actually thinking about their votes, thinking about the issues, and thinking that maybe it's time for a party other than Labour or Conservative this time. I can hope, at least. I really want a chance to run in my constituency, that's for sure. |

Well I'm voting Lib Dem come hell or high water. But I'm still putting money on Tory landslide. |

Didn't you hear Heather? Think about the issues? That kind of brand loyalty should be reserved for Apple - not political parties. Heather, I wish you the best of luck, but I'd love a hung parliament (in fact, I'd love some kind of V for Vendetta situation, but that's just ridiculous). What it's time for, is a change in the system. Not just another party. |

It is the old thing of deciding on the least worst (realistic) option or just not voting for anyone at all, for many people. In the long run, you could argue that if less people got out and voted, the parties might have to buck their ideas up. More likely however, would probably be a change in the voting system itself I spose... |

I completely agree but I'm not sure who else to vote for. I've become completely confused by all of the parties' policies now. |

I'd say a tory government is probably the worst thing for the whole country, economy or otherwise. A coalition against the tory scum would be better. |

Now, if I step back and try and ignore preconceptions what I see is: Labour frack up, preceded by a Tory frack up. Both are as bad as each other. What I'm left with is a third party, the LibDems, that has one MP in particular (Vince Cable) that I would like to see in Government. He's the only one who spoke out about the Banking system several years ago and really is a Chancellor that this country needs. I'm sick of Labour and Tory, there's no evidence to suggest that we can trust either with our economy. I remember how bad society was under the Conservatives, I vaguely remember the power cuts of Labour previous to that, and I certainly see the mess Labour have made currently. Sod it, I for one am sick of the cyclical nature of the 2 parties that want to do nothing more than frack things up. |

You're entitled to your opinion, and whilst I agree with your last sentence. Looking to the Lib Dems isn't the right answer for me. We need to really examine what democracy means in this country and not simply put a new face in charge of the same system. |

Er, I am voting Lib Dems because of their policies. I'm not voting for them because I like their electoral colours. ![]() As it stands I'm liking the Lib Dems at the moment because of this initiative: http://freedom.libdems.org.uk/ |
