Adding fuel to his particular fire. We could of course, say that he’ only experiencing the kind of intimidation his lackeys and followers dish out on a day to day basis. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/lanc ... 338022.stmHe is clearly setting himself up to be a victim to garner sympathy and support.

Barsteward.
I would have hoped this incident would have helped him realise how much it hurts when people hurl racist abuse at you but then I realised he is a [lifted] [lifted] [lifted] who should [lifted] [lifted] [lifted] [lifted] and [lifted] [lifted] [lifted] [lifted] .

this is very clever and indeed dangerous
i have no time for this bloke his party or any of its policies
but if this person is found innocent then it opens the flood gates for this party and its members to do the same with impunity …

He's just like an honest version of David Cameron really - a fat-headed rightwing smeghead - he may not be right, but he says what he thinks, whereas Cameron will probably end up with the same policies but establish them in a far smarmier and insidious way. I won't be voting for either of them.

Would you care to provide some evidence on this statement?

My understanding is that the Conservative party do not want a "united states of europe" and as such have aligned themselves with parties with similar policies, it doesn't mean that they hold to everything those parties endorse. That's a pretty massive assumption to make on the basis of the evidence presented.
Secondly, Peter Hain was the man who stated that we should deny freedom of speech to those that we disagree with. I am sure if someone was to try and restrict his freedom of speech he would be up in arms about it. Pathetic hypocrasy.
As for the term insidious, it may be true, but we've yet to taste the pudding. Having said that, there's this chap called Gordon Brown who has been lying and deceptive than any other politician I have ever come across. If voting Conservative is what it takes to get rid of him, sign me up Blue.

Oh, Lordy. The LabCon Oligarchy will continue with this kind of attitude. The mild swing between varying flavours of right-wing politics will be our undoing.

How should the disillusioned vote? Most of the parties aren't even represented in my constituency. The entire system is a farce, but I guess that's off topic.
I'm slightly puzzled by the racist accusations. My understanding from the linked article is that the guy said something like "You deserve to die". How is that racist? Did he say "You pink skinned person" or something?
I've never understood why racism is labeled any different to any other kind of personal insult. Surely "you fat bastard" is a stereotyping ignorant prejudicial comment no different from "you pink bastard", but it doesn't seem to make the news. In either case, prosecuting the verbal abuser is a total waste of time and money. What they need is renedification.
