I wouldn't blame them. The rich & famous have complete immunity from Public Scrutiny in the UK, and our new Judge-created "Privacy Laws" mean that almost any attempt to expose what they get up to is not allowed. Mosley and his sado-masochistic whores is the classic example. |

It doesn't help that spineless media groups like the Guardian won't stand up for their stories. They were ready to capitulate to Tesco for reporting the latter organisation's tax swindles, and only had the balls to fae them in court when Private Eye showed that Tesco had much bigger swindles on the go. Likewise, a crook with indirect links to Barack Obama and a conviction for a massive oil fraud in France was able to spike all stories about himself in the British press just by getting his lawyers to send a couple of mean letters. Again, Private Eye and indymedia were the only organisations with the balls to stand behind their stories, and they never got sued. Our own press has proven itself depressingly weak on this matter, and now they are cowering behind the NY Times' skirts for protection. On a related matter, does anyone know what Andrew Marr's big dirty secret is? He's got injunctions all over Fleet Street (unreported by most because he took a second injunction to stop them mentioning the first). Can't trust a man with ears that big. |

I'm dying to know what that's about - I haven't got anything against Marr, but I'd like to see him get his comeuppance if he's been sat there smugly questioning people when he was in no moral position ![]() I'm hoping what'll happen is another case will bring the whole thing into sharp relief or something ![]() |

I like Marr, but I think I would like him more if he had a big repulsive disgusting secret so I could think I was better than him. |
