No mention of Northern Ireland in that report at all. I'm hoping it stays dry for us until tomorrow early evening at the very least, that way I can get the grass cut for the final time this year. To everyone in the effected areas, stay safe.

It's funny how it's only 'bad' when it affects the South.
We've had more flooding and stronger winds in the North this year and there's hardly been any mention of it.
'Worst' my arse.

We're all soft suvvern jessies down here. Anyone north of Watford expects crap weather, and won't be in the least inconvenienced by it.

Glad I'm not living down south anymore. Would hate to be in that kind of weather.

I'm more or less slap-bang in the middle of the country, and I must say they weren't lying either. We've had more or less constant rain for about three days here.

I was going to say.... I had to go to the Metro Centre on Thursday night, lots of standing water, heavy winds and had to slow to 50mph and put my fogs on the weather was that bad. Worst I have seen it this year TBH Saying that I remember this year with all the snow there was a clear difference between the North and South, the North continued as normal with work etc, the South (including my housemates) didn't bother trying to get to work ("Oh noes snow, we can't do anything now")

The weather [LIFTED] up our fence. I've propped it up with some wooden battening and some cable, but we'll need to call the chippy to rebuild the wooden handrail that stands between you and the 6 foot drop onto the rocks below, as it's fallen apart like a Jenga tower.

That sounds like a perfectly accurate description of what happened. The weather did indeed lift up (at least part of) your fence. Mark
