Its total Politics and nothing will change The current “Idea” that the FSA will be able to change contracts is totally laughable. The people with the real big bonuses will just write their contracts in Switzerland or somewhere similar so that they are not subject to UK controls |

Even so, the only time where it's really acceptable for this kind of restriction is with banks that have cocked it up and received public funds. I am personally of the opinion that if the bank has managed to stay afloat in the current climate without a handout then they have exhibited far more fiscal prudence than the government themselves over the whole thing and should be allowed to continue. |
