I thought the title read Blair Loses Out To Van Romp As EU President Was thinking it was a bit weird for Tony lost out on a romp in a transit van as he was EU president

They said Blair was out of the running and it was between van Rompuy and the French guy about 3 weeks ago...  Blair got kicked from the short-list, for his failure to implement the Euro, among other things. The talk over here was that David Milliband was a more likely candidate than Blair! |

They're all as bad as each other. They all want more powers for unelected knobs who want a united stated of Europe. |

he’s not a “head of state” in that respect. He’s a chairman of a committee. I’m not that fussed to be honest. If Blair had been selected, we would know that were were heading for a more European superstate because Blair has pretensions of being BIgger Than Royalty. |
