It's a fcuking joke isn't it? Especially considering a lot of it is now in the public domain via the net or whatever anyway - I suspect those with a guilty conscience have drawn more attention to themselves and what this'll bring out. Though that seems to be the fashion with court cases these days :lol:

Ah, but I guess if Judges complain too much the Government will say that they're expressing an opinion on Policy and will have to sack them...

The government can't sack a judge, thankfully. They might be able to stop them getting into the house of lords once it's reformed or stop them getting some other political/ceremonial post but once they're on the bench almost nobody can boot them off it.

The government is often held in check by the judges and Lords it has to be said :)
