IIRC the lead singer/rapper of the Band 'Senser' claims to have in a misguided past been a member of the BNP, even though he was ethnically Arabic. Jon |

What the hell? Sikhs have been targetted since "9/11", having been mistaken for terrorists because they wear turbans. This guy, understandably, had problems during the partition on India. But the fault does not lie with the muslims. The fault lies with the British who wanted to "divide and conquer" India. What the hell does he think the BNP would do if they were in power? Kick him straight back to India. Complete muppet. |

That's the fellah. One of their songs definitely implies he was involved with a very right wing organisation at one point and the BNP is mentioned by name. I don't think the wiki for him looks very definitive but this is going back like 15 years or something and there's not a lot of info on them on the net that dates back to that period. Ah, I believe the song is called 'No Comply'. I won't post the lyrics here as they are a bit NSFW in places but there is something in there. They weren't a bad band actually, even if they did come across as the militant wing of The Levellers. Just the job on a blazing hot Saturday afternoon at your festival.
He's the lead singer in a band. That's pretty much part of the job description isn't it? Jon |
