It's pretty bizarre that it wasn't just a boilerplate reply. Does this mean Jobsey actually reads his own email rather than getting a flunky to do it?
Either way, not exactly a surprising attitude. You don't get to be the billionaire head of a global corporation if you're not a hard hearted bastard to some degree or other.

I think it probably does. If you were ni e to everyone you could start giving things away, losing money etc... But I'd agree it costs nothing to be polite at least.

It would cost them a fortune, in this case, to be nice... They have to protect their trademarks, if they don't do it in one case, then they can lose the trademark.  Their hands are pretty much tied. What surprises me, is that it has taken them so long to catch up with them.
