Reading the article it sounds more like it was a convenience issue for the airline. Their wheelchairs are designed to be more manoeuvrable on the plane. I would have thought that provided the guys wheelchair met the Australian equivalent of the British Standard kite mark or whatever there really shouldn't be any insurance issue. |

No I meant in terms of staff pushing him around in their wheelchair, taking responsibility for him etc. |
